Jessie Boylan
Photographer, Facilitator
Jessie Boylan is a photographer, filmmaker, and community radio producer based in Castlemaine, Central Victoria, Australia. She is currently undertaking an MFA (photomedia) at Monash University focusing on the anti-nuclear movement in Australia.
Her work looks at the human impact on the land and communities in relation to environmental and social devastation- like nuclear testing, mining and war- it also looks at ideas of history and place in relation to contemporary Australian identity, community and activism.
Jessie also produces a weekly half hour radio segment for 3CR 855am called ‘The Radioactive Show‘– which covers nuclear issues in Australia and Internationally. She is a member of the Atomic Photographers Guild, who aim to render visible all aspects of the nuclear age.
